Dell's Vostro laptops have been designed to meet small business needs and are built for productivity amidst shrinking travel budgets with free, pre-installed video conferencing and webcam software with the purchase of integrated webcam and microphone.
The redesigned Vostro notebook range includes; the 13.3-inch Vostro 1320; the 15.4-inch Vostro 1520; and the 17-inch Vostro 1720.
Patrick Lim, Vastro brand manager at Dell, told CRN in an interview, the notebooks also include pre-installed Dell Video Chat video conferencing software with the purchase of optional integrated webcam and microphone for video conferencing.
"The updated range of hardware also comes with data safety," he said.
"There are fingerprint readers with software to secure data with multi-factor authentication and encrypted hard drive with wave systems software."
Lim said IT service provdiers, as well as SMB customers interested in the range, can get IT assistance from Dell.
"For this suite of offerings there are services available for IT service providers," he said.
"They can use Dell's Pro Support or our 24/7 next business day onsite support.
Vostro prices start from; $899 (Vostro 1520); $1199 (Vostro 1320); and $1299 (Vostro 1720).
Lim said he wasn't able to comment on general volume pricing with the products.
