Dell Boomi makes partner training programs free to bring in developers

Dell Boomi is making its partner training courses free to attract partners looking to develop solutions on top of the Boomi platform.

The integration vendor revealed a new partner portal to showcase its updated partner program, including the free training programs.

Global channel chief David Tavolaro, who was in Sydney for Dell Boomi World Tour 2019 this week, told CRN that Boomi was looking to grow its technology partner base, specifically partners who want to develop or build on Boomi’s platform.

“The technology partner program gives partners what they want to build connectors, accelerators and other technology on top of Boomi’s platform,” Tavolaro said.

“The program gives the partners access to Boomi for free while getting additional training and be able to create a core business or a practice within their business.”

Tavolaro said the pool of resources resulting from a thriving technology partner ecosystem will serve Boomi's customers and prospects better.

Boomi also added more courses across all the elements of the the company's platform, as well as different levels within it, like the new courses on workflow and its EDI platform management.

"We have built out a repository of tools which are available to partners for free to enable their staff," Dell Boomi APJ regional director of partners and alliances Linda Urlich said.

"Most of our training is available as self-paced, on-demand training, as well as having the option to run them face-to-face in country. We can build training to suit a partner's requirements."

The portal now also includes a partner finder feature, more simplified contracts and Boomi's partner program guide, and a more streamlined way to log partner referrals. Communications will also be more automated, pushing out more updates, notifications and calendar events.

Referral fees for partners were also reconfigured, rewarding those who move up tiers as the fees increase. Partners getting additional certifications across the Boomi platform can also expect further incentives.
