Data#3's annual 12 days of Christmas charity drive kicked off today for 2012, with the systems integrator naming the twelve charities involved in the program.
The initiative was launched in 2009 in response to the global financial crisis, with an aim to helping out charities and community groups affected by a drop in financial support.
The program runs across the first 12 working days of December. The Smith Family will be the lead charity for 2012. The charity has been in the program since its inception four years ago.
Data#3 has chosen 12 charities across Australia to support for 2012, including Sydney Homeless Connect, World Vision, Down Syndrome WA, Cerebal Palsy League Qld, Montrose Access, Make a Wish Foundation, MS Society, Camp Quality, Keppel Rural Fire Brigade Group, Clean Up Australia, and Guide Dogs Australia.
Data#3 will provide a cash donation to all 12 charities and will offer activites such as volunteer gift wrapping with the Qld Cerebral Palsy League, a fundraising trivia night (to be held next year) for the Make a Wish Foundation, and a clothing drive and volunteering at Sydney's Town Hall for Homeless Connect.
