Microsoft solutions provider Avanade has announced the promotion of Dan McMahon to the position of head of advisory business group, growth markets.
McMahon will be responsible for overseeing Avanade's strategy, offerings, practices and consulting professionals in Japan, Australia, South-East Asia, China and Brazil.
He has also been appointed to Avanade's global advisory executive team and its growth council.
McMahon joined Avanade in 2019 and for the last three years has served as the company's managing director of advisory services in Australia, having previously served as managing director of its digital and technology advisory.
Prior to joining Avanade, McMahon served in a number of leadership roles at ThoughtWorks, Woolworths and Dick Smith Electronics.
McMahon's promotion comes after Avanade together with Accenture was in June named 2023 Microsoft Global Systems Integrator Partner of The Year for the 18th time.
In early November, the company released six new services to help Australian organisations understand the benefits of Microsoft 365 Copilot and integrate the technology.
