CyTrack, an Australian unified communications and call centre software developer, has partnered with Microsoft Dynamics to cross-sell its products to Microsoft resellers and vice versa.
Nick Milan, managing director at CyTrack, told CRN the aim was to educate both channels about each other's products.
Microsoft Dynamics included enterprise resource planning and customer relationship management software.
Milan said there was a lot of noise in the industry about unified communications and convergence.
He said it would be "confusing for partners" to know what direction to take.
"Many telephony channel partners don't offer - or have the skills to understand - complete end to end solutions for clients when the specification calls for database or customer relationship management requirements," he said.
"The partnership was developed to help both channels work together in their specific skill sets and encourage partners to build solid relationships together.
Milan said CyTrack's Asia office based at Jakarta has also engaged with the Microsoft Dynamics teams in Indonesia and Vietnam.
"We have introduced them to our key telephony partners there and we're excited over what has come out of those initial meetings," he said.
