CX company Talkdesk launches Aussie regional cloud

Customer experience technology provider Talkdesk has expanded its global network, adding  a new regional cloud deployment in Australia, allowing local businesses to host their platforms within the region.

The new deployment aims to help businesses in banking, retail, and healthcare sectors comply with Australian data privacy requirements while improving voice quality through localised hosting.

"APAC is an important market for Talkdesk - we've seen more than 100 per cent growth in the region in the last six months due to our investments," Tiago Paiva, chief executive officer and founder of Talkdesk, said.

"The deployment of a regional cloud in Australia primes us for further growth and success by empowering businesses—including those in highly regulated industries," Paiva added.

The company has strengthened its APAC presence with dedicated teams across Australia, Singapore, the Philippines, China, Thailand, Korea, and India, supported by a network of partners and sub-agents.

Over the past year, Talkdesk's AI-powered customer experience solutions have helped clients like Metro Finance reduce operating costs by 40 per cent.

"Talkdesk remains at the forefront of generative AI innovations in the contact centre at a time when businesses need to deliver seamless CX more than ever," Simon Horrocks, Talkdesk's vice president of APAC said.

"Some of Asia-Pacific's largest banks, e-tailers, and business process outsourcers use Talkdesk, and the Australia Regional Cloud gives customers greater compliance with regulatory requirements," Horrocks added.

The expansion follows the appointment of Horrocks as APAC leader in February 2024 to drive regional growth and innovation in artificial intelligence customer experience solutions.
