CRN columnist Mathew Dickerson has been awarded the 'Most Entertaining IT Writer in Australia' gong at the annual Consensus IT Writers Award winners.
The winners were announced at a gala ceremony on Friday night in Sydney. Dickerson was one of the eight individual award winners on the night.
Dickerson won the award based on his monthly 'From the Coal Face' column that appears in CRN. There were 53 nominations in total.
The Consensus IT Writers Awards are designed to honour the quality of information technology journalism and writing in IT and industry publications.
The Awards are endorsed by the Australian Computer Society and sponsored by Dimension Data.
"I have a personal motto when I write an article. I tell myself that I must entertain first and then I can educate. If I can always stay true to this belief, I believe my columns will be read by more people. It is therefore incredibly satisfying to win an award officially proclaiming that I entertain," Dickerson said.
