Commvault partners with AI and security firms

Data protection and cyber resilience vendor Commvault has partnered with seven AI and data security firms to bolster cybersecurity and data visibility for its new Commvault Cloud platform.

The platform will now integrate with Avira, Darktrace, Databricks, Entrust, Netskope, Palo Alto Networks and Trellix to provide joint customers more ways to detect, protect and respond to cyber threats and attacks.

Launched last week, Commvault Cloud is a hybrid enterprise solution that uses Metallic AI and unifies data protection and cybersecurity.

"By integrating with a broad ecosystem of new security and AI partners via our Commvault Cloud platform, we are not only meeting customers where they need to be met at this critical moment, but we can collectively and jointly bring faster, smarter, and more connected security insights to organisations around the world,” Commvault's chief product officer Rajiv Kottomtharayil said.

The partnerships come after Commvault earlier this year announced collaborations with Microsoft Sentinel and Palo Alto Networks.

"To be effective for cyber resilience, data security products must integrate with products in the cyber-recovery ecosystem,” ESG practice director Christophe Bertrand said.

“Our recent research on the state of ransomware preparedness shows that organisations around the world want their data protection vendors to work directly with core security tools and service providers."

"These integrations between security and AI ecosystem partners and Commvault Cloud can play a key role in helping companies advance their security posture while also elevating data governance.”
