Craig Bastow has been appointed regional director of sales for Australia and New Zealand at Cohesity.
He joins after 12 years at Commvault, where he began as territory manager for QLD/NT in 2014.
From here, he held such roles as director of WW global systems integrators, senior director of WW alliances, director of sales for ANZ and country manager for ANZ.
For the last two years, he was the company's area VP and country manager for ANZ.
In a LinkedIn post announcing his move, Bastow said he was attracted to Cohesity due to the opportunity to help organisations address the challenge of how to protect, manage and extract value from their data in a world of AI, cloud and cyber threats.
"The market is changing rapidly. Data is growing exponentially, cyber threats are becoming more sophisticated, and AI is fundamentally changing how organisations think about their data and infrastructure. I believe Cohesity is uniquely positioned at the intersection of these trends," he said.
"I’m looking forward to bringing my experience to help accelerate Cohesity’s growth across Australia and New Zealand. More importantly, I’m looking forward to working with our customers, partners and the broader Cohesity team to help organisations become more resilient, simplify their data environments, and unlock greater value from their data."
