Cloudflare has appointed Goran Risticevic as vice president and managing director for Asia Pacific (APAC), strengthening its leadership team in one of the world's fastest-growing digital markets.
Risticevic brings 20 years of experience in direct and channel sales to role, having worked for Amazon Web Services (AWS), IBM, and NetApp.
As the new regional leader Risticevic joined Cloudflare in November 2022 and has been building the company's customer success and services team across the region.
The appointment comes as Cloudflare continues to expand its global network, which now spans more than 335 cities in over 125 countries, including 111 cities across Asia Pacific.
Cloudflare first invested in APAC almost 15 years ago, establishing its network presence in Tokyo in 2010, just months after the company's launch.
Risticevic will be based in Sydney, Australia, overseeing Cloudflare's operations across a region that represents more than half the world's internet users.
"The growth opportunities in Asia Pacific are immense, driven by rapid business transformation and an expanding online economy," Risticevic said.
"However, this growth comes with significant cybersecurity challenges, as businesses must protect vast amounts of data, ensure regulatory compliance, and defend against increasingly complex and sophisticated cyber threats, all while striving for innovation and expansion," he added.
