Cisco Systems has announced plans to launch a videoconferencing solution that operates through television sets.
The networking firm said that the product is still in its early stages, but a report in Bloomberg suggests that the solution is expected in the next 12 months, and should help compensate for a fall in demand for networking products.
The videoconferencing product will be part of Cisco's TelePresence portfolio, which promises benefits such as reduced travel costs, collaboration across distances and a lower carbon footprint.
