Cirrus Networks snags disaster recovery contract with Pilbara Ports Authority

Perth based Cirrus Networks has won a managed services contract with Pilbara Ports Authority worth in excess of $1.4 million.

The contract was awarded through a tender process and includes the option for an extension.

Cirrus said it would deploy a highly available architecture, which includes disaster recovery-as-a-service as well as a managed service component.

PPA overseas port operations for the Port of Ashburton, Port of Dampier, Port of Port Hedland and Port of Anketell in Western Australia. Cirrus said the solution would be deployed across all of PPA's locations.

"Winning this contract highlights Cirrus' ongoing ability to design, deliver and manage innovative value-based solutions for clients and continues the success as a market leader in enterprise-based business continuity and disaster recovery solutions."

Cirrus more than doubled its revenue in the 2017 financial year to hit $53.9 million. Among that growth, Cirrus managed services revenue increased 74 percent during the year. Western Australia is still the largest contributor to Cirrus business, though the company recently expanded onto the east coast when it acquired Melbourne's NGage Technologies in March for $2.5 million.
