Now with around thirty Sydney resellers currently signed up, CBL is aiming to grow its local reseller base by at least fifty percent in 2007-08 and is currently actively recruiting new channel partners.
Of the two recent sign-ups, Lapy King, a local laptop repairer and retailer was signed up on the 12 Novemebr 2007.
Vicky Brauner, CBL’s managing director told CRN that DCFS Professional Online Solutions a mobile computer repair and upgrade company, signed up with CBL two weeks ago after being contacted by CBL’s channel manager with an offer to resell CBL’s expert data recovery services to their client base.
“CBL chose DCFS for their complementary portfolio of services which will allow CBL to offer ongoing value to its customer base. DCFS have already starting sending recovery jobs to the CBL team for evaluation,” she said.
Brauner said the Sydney market continues to lead Australia’s demand for data recovery services. To counter this, CBL will be relocating to Sydney with a new office in St Leonards.
The Sydney office will provide a ‘line of recovery’ with local staff handling –in line with CBL’s ISO-accredited procedures – logical recoveries and transferring hardware issues to CBL’s Brisbane clean room, said Brauner.
“CBL has taken on one new technician to manage its Sydney lab and we will increase local staff numbers as demand continues to grow and its Sydney reseller base expands further,” she said.
CBL has six Australian staff in total, with five employees located at its Brisbane head office. The vendor has a total of 82 employees company wide, based in 16 countries internationally.
