Canberra's BCT Solutions scores work on Defence electronic warfare project

Defence IT consultant and fifth place-winner in the 2018 CRN Fast50 BCT Solution has scored a support contract with the Department of Defence for one of its electronic warfare projects.

The $1.9 million contract is for the delivery of products to support the LAND 555 Phase 6 Land Force Level Electronic Warfare Project, the department’s initiative to enhance existing and introduce new electronic warfare capabilities.

Some of the services that BCT Solutions will provide include tender documentation development and subsequent tendering artefacts, plus specialised engineering and logistics products.

“[BCT Solutions'] proposed solution represented the best value for money for the Commonwealth, including delivery methodology, personnel availability and competencies, schedule and cost,” a Defence spokesperson told CRN.

“BCT works within a multi-disciplinary team of public servants, Australian Defence Force personnel and other Defence Support Services suppliers.”

The contract commenced late last week and runs until August 2020.

The company was selected from the 556-member Defence Support Services panel, 28 members of which were approached for the deal. BCT was chosen from a pool of eight companies that expressed interest.

The Canberra based company was named a CRN Fast50 finalist for 2018, grabbing 5th place after posting 150 percent growth in the 2018 financial year as a result of their pivot to defence from the resources and energy sectors.
