CA Technologies has appointed Paul Falkenstein as vice president and managing director for Australia.
Falkenstein replaces Hope Powers who has decided to step down to move back to the USA.
He is responsible for driving sales, building the partner ecosystem, developing new business and managing overall operations, according to CA Technologies. He will report to Kenneth Arredondo, president and general manager of Asia-Pacific & Japan.
"Australia and New Zealand are mature markets and my focus as I take on this new role will be to help guide our customers on their digital transformation journeys and to provide them with security, DevOps and agile management solutions. I’m confident that our strong heritage and credentials will allow CA to continue to make great inroads in ANZ," said Falkenstein.
He worked joined CA Technologies in 1996, he was most recently the chairman of the company in Japan. Prior to that he was vice president, customer portfolio management, for Asia-Pacific and Japan.
Arredondo said: "ANZ is a key market for CA and huge emphasis is placed on providing great solutions that help our customers thrive in the application economy. We are very fortunate to have seen strong leadership in Hope who has been the driving force behind our local business and I want to thank her for her commitment beyond her contracted two-year period.
"As she hands the baton to Paul, I am confident he will continue her good work. With his experience managing different countries, cultures and business models, Paul brings a wealth of experience to his new role."
Powers joined CA Technologies in 2005 as sales manager for Florida and Caribbean. She has held several senior roles within the company throughout the years taking the senior vice president for customer portfolio management role for Latin America, Asia-Pacific and Japan in 2013. In 2014, she took the senior vice president and managing director role based in Sydney.
