CA Technologies has appointed Gene Ng as vice president of security for Asia-Pacific and Japan.
Based in Singapore, Ng will be responsible for ensuring CA customers are prepared for an increasingly sophisticated security threat, according to the vendor.
Ng, who brings almost 20 years of security experience to the role and, was most recently business unit executive at IBM Security for the ASEAN region. He has also held roles at Blue Coat, Motorola Solutions and 3Com, having started his career with Price Waterhouse.
Ng also founded Sensecurity, a business focused on security product distribution, services and training throughout Asia.
“Cybersecurity threats are effectively omnipresent in today’s digital landscape, and enterprises need to embed security in the DNA of their software development to drive better business outcomes,” he said.

CA Asia-Pacific and Japan general manager Martin Mackay said he was delighted to have Ng on board.
