CA has been partners with the two-time Super Rugby Champions for 13 years.
According to Brenton Smith, vice president and area manager for CA Pacific, there were a number of reasons for continuing the long-standing partnership with the club.
“Canberra has always been an important market for CA and we firmly believe in giving something back to the communities in which we do business,” he said.
“We are also firm believers that we’re backing one of the greatest teams in Super14 history – there’s nothing like a bit of healthy competition.”
Brumbies Rugby CEO Andrew Fagan said the renewal continues one of Australian sports great partnerships.
“We’re very proud that CA has agreed to continue one of Australian sport’s great partnerships,” he said.
“CA has been part of the fabric of our organisation and without their generous financial and moral support we could not have experienced the success we have in the last 13 years.
“Our partnership with CA is built on very similar values and a close working relationship and we’re very pleased that they will continue to support us and help that tradition continue into 2009.”
Fagan said CA’s re-signing helps complete preparations prior to the 2009 Investec Super 14 season.
“Everyone in the squad and surrounding the organisation is extremely excited and optimistic about what the team can achieve next year,” he said.
“We’ve got our new coaching staff, led by Andy Friend, who will give a fresh interpretation of the entertaining CA Brumbies-style of rugby.
“Our recruitment has been precise and we now have a squad that is certainly capable of bringing home the Super 14 trophy.”
The CA Brumbies kick off their 2009 campaign against the Highlanders in Dunedin on Friday, 13 February before returning to Canberra Stadium to front the Crusaders on Saturday, 21 February.
