Brisbane IT resellers shut but safe

Brisbane-based CRN Fast50 resellers Kettering Professional Services, Intelligent Pathways, Comscentre are flood-free, it was confirmed.

Kettering’s Robert Cheesman said all his staff along with their properties were safe.

Kettering’s office was located in Toowong several floors up in an office building, he said.

However, the office remained closed due to power cuts and unsafe roads.

"Staff were working from home or client sites," he added.

Kate Pemberton from Intelligent Pathways said her office was located on level nine in an office building in Fortitude Valley, where businesses began evacuating yesterday.

“We’re all alright as far as I know, but there is no power,” she said.

Experts have warned that the worst was yet to come with the flood expected to peak at 4am Thursday.

Milton-based Comscentre has skeleton staff working on hand.

“We won’t go under water,” Stuart Myerscough from Conscentre told CRN.

CRN Fast50 winner Anittel’s Newstead office was also evacuated yesterday.
