Dave Stevens, managing director at Brennan, told CRN that as part of the deal, Brennan will further extend on NetSuite's integrated business management solution with additional business application modules, and launch a jointly branded, integrated solution to the mid market.
According to Stevens, the value of the contract was hard to debundle “from our overall $5 million investment, but it is a big chunk of it. The agreement is perpetual on the proviso of the achievement of some basic targets,” he said.
He told CRN that Brennan is now in the business of providing its 500 plus clients with business solutions, not just infrastructure solutions. “We are focused on adding additional “local” functionality to the NetSuite products and if that means other OEM style agreements with other vendors then we will look at that.”
According to Stevens, the NetSuite deal was part of Brennan's focus on business solutions - in particular the delivery of applications as SaaS or part of a hosted model.
“We did a thorough review of all of the Mid Market ERP/CRM solutions, including products from SAP, Oracle, Pronto, Microsoft and selected NetSuite based on its SaaS delivery model, speed of implementation, and its fit for purpose in the mid-market and NetSuite were the clear choice,” he said.
Stevens claimed Brennan intends to further invest in ensuring it has the people, skills and solutions in place to effectively deliver to the needs of the mid market. This includes recruiting an additional six personnel to its Business Solutions division and potentially acquisitions.
