Sydney and Melbourne solutions provider Blue Central has acquired Sydney managed services provider VCPro.

As part of the transaction, VCPro director Peter Ikladios has been appointed managing director of Blue Central. Previous managing director George Kazangi will remain with the business until the end of next month.

The acquisition will be completed today. The value of the deal was not disclosed.

VCPro focuses on infrastructure; virtualisation and cloud; storage and data protection; systems management; and professional services. Its vendor partners include Nimble, VMWare, Cisco, Airwatch, Veeam and AWS.

Blue Central said in a statement it would integrate VCPro's assets and services into its own offering to deliver a range of new services in hybrid cloud.

Ikladios had been director of VCPro for the past seven years. He brings 20 years of experience in the IT industry to Blue Central, including stints with Defence Force Recruiting, KAZ Group and Ernst and Young.

He said he was looking forward to taking the helm of Blue Central.

"Our new strategy and direction means customers can now work with Blue Central as a one-stop shop for all their technology needs, simplifying the IT process,” said Ikladios.

"Many Australian businesses are confused by the complexities IT presents, and as a result, are not gaining maximum benefit from their investment."

Blue Central is owned by Sydney-based digital marketing and publishing company IPMG.
