BlackBerry adds new partner tier to capture IoT security sales

BlackBerry has added another tier to its enterprise partner program to give partners more opportunities chasing internet of things security deals.

The BlackBerry Enterprise Partner Program already has three tiers: Authorised, Gold and Platinum. The new Silver tier means authorised partners can broaden their cloud offerings with BlackBerry’s Unified Endpoint Management (UEM) platform. The UEM platform recently received a handful of updates as well, including support for BlackBerry Intelligent Security.

The vendor said Silver partners will have access to the skills and knowledge needed to onboard and support new UEM customers, and can be recognised for their solutions that meet the compliance and security requirements of an on-premise solution.

The new partner tier also includes recurring SaaS and professional services revenue from cloud migrations, virtual training, and access to not-for-resale licenses to test UEM cloud deployments, demand generation and sales support.

“With the addition of the Silver tier, we’re able to support partners as they respond to the increasing demand for cloud services from customers,” said BlackBerry global vice president enterprise software channels Richard McLeod.

“This, along with the other new enhancements to the program, came as a direct result from the channel’s feedback, and we’re confident that now having listened and taken action, partners will be able to gain increased value from our partnership.”

BlackBerry also announced that a handful of its solutions are now available on the Microsoft Azure Marketplace, including UEM, Workspaces, AtHoc and Spark Communications Services. Amazon got some love too: the UEM platform is also available now on the AWS Marketplace.
