Avnet has appointed a new business unit director for its Australian networking division, bringing back former staffer Paul Oxley.
Oxley was most recently channel sales manager at RSA, the security arm of networking giant EMC. He replaces Juniper business unit head George Farrugia who left the company last month.
Oxley previously worked at Avnet as a result of the company’s acquisition of security and networking distributor and rival Channel Worx in 2007.
As head of Avnet networking, Oxley will report to marketing and business innovation vice president Michael Costigan, and will look after the distributor’s Juniper, Enterasys, Barracuda, Brocade and Riverbed accounts.
