Marshal8e6 has hired William Kilmer (pictured), as chief marketing officer and Werner Thalmeier as vice president of Product Management.
These senior-level appointments represent a further milestone following the recent announcement of CEO John Vigouroux.
Kilmer will oversee all marketing, communications and product strategy at Marshal8e6.
Prior to joining the company, he was CEO of Avinti, a provider of behaviour-based malware detection technology which was acquired by Marshal8e6 in April.
He also spent nine years at Intel responsible for strategic marketing for the communications and networking group.
Vigouroux said Kilmer has a proven track record from his time at Avinti of building a talented team and business with a compelling security solution.
Thalmeier will extend and integrate the company's portfolio of Web and email security solutions.
Prior to joining Marshal8e6, Thalmeier was vice president of Product Management at Finjan, where he had previously headed up the Worldwide sales engineering team.
He has more than 20 years of experience in the IT industry, with extensive field experience working with customers, technology partners and resellers in management and engineering roles.
