Aussie distributor signs SecureEnvoy

Distributor Connector Systems has secured the rights to bring SecurEnvoy's two-factor authentication to the Australian channel.

SecurEnvoy boasts some of the industry's largest technology companies as integration partners, including Microsoft, Citrix, Cisco and Juniper.

Connector Systems country manager Andrew Craze said the technology utilised users' mobile phones or other devices as the "something you own" component of two-factor authentication.

He said SecurEnvoy resolves issues that have prevented the adoption of two-factor authentication, such as SMS delays, no phone signal or soft token synchronisation problems.

SecurEnvoy's Australia and New Zealand regional channel manager Andrew Grace said that signing the Australian distie was the next step for his company.

"From our perspective, having already had success in the government, retail and manufacturing verticals, a focused value-added distributor that operated with value-added resellers was exactly what we were looking for to expand on this success," Grace said.

Connector Systems has branches in Sydney, Melbourne and Auckland. According to the company website it was founded in New Zealand in 1979, originally providing network cables and connectors. Connector made its push across the Tasman in 2012 with the acquisition of Australian distie Techplus.
