ASI goes back to school with wireless deals

ASI Solutions has won two more orders from schools for Meru Networks' 802.11n wireless LAN equipment.

Canterbury College in Waterford, Queensland, and Mount St Benedict College in Pennant Hills in northwest Sydney will install the equipment next month ready for the start of the new school year.

"Meru Networks' wireless LAN was selected by both schools based on its unique virtual cell approach that makes wireless network deployment and management much simpler than traditional micro-cell solutions, which require complex channel planning," said Catriona Ormond, education specialist at ASI Solutions.

The deals come less than a fortnight after ASI won an order from the Queenwood School for Girls in Sydney for the deployment of wireless networks at the school's senior campus.

Meru Networks is distributed in Australia by Wavelink Communications. It also has distie agreements with Polycom and Digium.
