ASG banks more deals in WA

Hot on the heels of its five-year, $14.8 million WA department of education deal, service provider ASG has inked another big WA deal, this time with the department of housing.

The new deal, worth $11.3 million over five years, will see ASG deliver key components of the department’s managed services. The company also indicated the potential for additional revenue opportunities over the contract term.

“ASG first provided services to the department of housing over five years ago,” said ASG chief Geoff Lewis, in a statement.

“Winning this contract was the result of our disciplined approach during the tender process, which demonstrated vastly better service as well as the quality and professionalism of our people.”

Along with the department of education deal, the company has secured an additional $20 million in new contracts over the last few weeks. The education contract saw ASG begin to supply Oracle license modernisation and renewal.

The range of hosted and managed services for the department of housing includes server and storage management; database support; service management of IT assets and operations; support for SharePoint and batch processes; security management; Microsoft Exchange and Biztalk.
