Arbor Networks has signed WhiteGold Solutions as its first value-added distributor in Australia, it was announced at the AusCERT conference in the Gold Coast today.
The partnership will extend Arbor Networks' reach to customers it hasn't had previous access to.
Nick Race, ANZ country manager for Arbor Networks, said WhiteGold's expertise in the security space attracted him.
"We wanted to bring on a value-added distributor, we were looking at the breadth of the WhiteGold channel to reach some customers we haven't been able to reach," he said.
Race told CRN that Arbor Networks is complimentary to WhiteGold's existing portfolios, particularly in the VMware space.
Jonathan Odria, sales director at WhiteGold Solutions, said the partnership was "quite complimentary".
"We've had a push in the VMware space and with Arbor we now have four products in that space: Aep Networks, Astaro and nCircle, [which has] just launched a version too," he said.
Odria said the partnership also offered WhiteGold more opportunity to work in the ISP and managed security service provider (MSSP) space. "That's where Arbor's key strengths are," he said.
WhiteGold wants to sign up key focused resellers targeting the ISP and MSSP space, said Odria.
