Ansearch and destra to share hosting, marketing

destra Corporation and new search engine company Ansearch have signed a heads-of-agreement to share hosting services and marketing roles.

Dominic Carosa, chief executive at destra, said the ASX-listed company would provide Ansearch with dedicated hosting services via OzHosting.com. Ansearch would promote destra's domain name and webhosting services to viewers of its Ansearch.com.au website.

"Ansearch is rapidly growing and we are excited to be supporting the strong growth in Ansearch.com.au, which is now enjoying over 500,000 unique visitors monthly," he said in a statement to the ASX.

Carosa said Melbourne-based destra wanted to boost its domain and hosting revenue by marketing to Ansearch.com.au's growing customer base.

Dean Jones, chief executive at Ansearch, said the search engine provider wanted a proven hosting partner to help it handle growing demand.

"Ansearch.com.au is now the fastest growing search engine in Australia," Jones said.

destra Corporation was split into destra Business and destra Media divisions. destra Business comprised destra Business, OzHosting.com Priority One, Yahoo Web Hosting by OzHosting.com and TPP Internet, the company said.

"These divisions serve the SMB sector through mid-tier to large corporations serving needs in data connectivity, voice communications, managed and virtual hosting and domain name services," destra said.

destra Media included destra Music, Musicpoint and MP3.com.au, destra said.

Ansearch is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Optum Health.
