Don Murphy, who has served as AMD's business development executive focused on enterprise customers across ANZ since September 2023, has announced his departure.
In a post on LinkedIn, Murphy said the move was made in preparation of leaving Australia "for a few years" to launch a remote AI consulting and marketing business, helping organisations navigate the AI landscape from strategy through to execution.
"The technology, the innovation, the global momentum — all remarkable. But what I'll carry with me most are the people," he said of his time at AMD.
"The Australian AMD community is something genuinely special, and the relationships built here have meant more to me than I can easily put into words.
"To everyone at AMD and across the broader Australian tech ecosystem — thank you. You've shaped how I think, how I work, and who I am professionally."
Prior to AMD, he was at Dell Technologies for a combined stint totalling over two decades, split across Nashville in the US and Sydney since 2013.
While at the company, he held such roles as next generation compute specialist, hybrid technical specialist - distribution, channel sales specialist and technical sales representative.
