Alloys to distribute Maxell

Maxell has appointed Alloys to distribute its range of backup tape storage products to the Australian reseller market.

Under the agreement, Alloys will supply Maxell Australia's backup tapes and accessories.

Alloys national print and imaging sales manager Marc Montagner said Maxell is a "reputable brand that offers brand differentiation within the backup tape market".

"Maxell is an important addition to our existing range of data storage and media solutions. This will enhance and diversify our product offering."

Montagner said Alloys partners with Verbatim for CD and DVD media supplies but in the tape storage space "it will be the first time we're taking it on board emphatically".

"It's a new product offering," said Montagner.  "We have a database of clients that transact in the volume and SMB space for the data storage.

"They tend to go elsewhere for data storage solutions and now we have the opportunity to offer them that solution at Alloys," he said.

Maxell's national account manager Kristy Thompson said, "We have chosen Alloys considering their extensive customer reach and outstanding value proposition."

Last month Alloys celebrated the launch of a NSW business centre in Sydney's North Ryde.

Alloy NSW Business Centre features a fully operational showroom of range of colour printers, multi-function devices, wide format printers and document management solutions.

The business centre is available to resellers for demonstration and seminars to local businesses with a host of guest speakers appearing during the year.
