AirTight Networks is solidifying its intent for the ANZ market with a new office in Sydney and hiring of key staff.
The Wi-Fi solutions vendor announced Carl Jeffreys as ANZ country manager. Jeffreys is well regarded for the ANZ establishment of fellow Californian-based Wi-Fi vendor, Ruckus Wireless.
"I see AirTight as a company with unique differentiation in the competitive Wi-Fi technology space," said Jefferys. "Big data analytics and customer engagement imperatives are changing the business of WLANs, and AirTight is at the forefront of this technology inflection point."
The move follows CRN's report of AirTight's distribution agreement with Ingram Micro last month.
Speaking of the Ingram deal, Jeffreys commented: "We have stock in Ingram’s warehouse; we have local engineering support and are shortly to announce our plans for New Zealand."
