Adobe has announced Brent Irwin as its new ANZ manager of partner sales.
Irwin replaces previous channel boss Muralee Kanagaratnam, who CRN reported last week had departed Adobe in December, just one year after his predecessor Steve Martin.
The job title has also changed, going from "head of channel sales" to "manager of partner sales".
"Brent has been a key member of our team and delivered results in every role he has taken on. With the ANZ market being one of the fastest adopters of our cloud-based offerings, Brent will be instrumental in steering the ANZ partner sales team to maximise the significant growth opportunities," said Adobe ANZ managing director Chris Skelton.
Irwin comes into the channel manager post after two years as Asia-Pacific cloud sales manager. Adobe is in the midst of transforming its sales model from boxed software to subscription-based product Creative Cloud.
The new channel manager will concentrate on SMB growth, according to a statement from the software vendor.
Like Kanagaratnam, Irwin is a former Express Data (now Dicker Data) staffer, joining Adobe in 2005. The vendor dropped Dicker Data as Australian distie in July, in favour of Ingram Micro.
Adobe's net profit dropped 46 percent for the 2014 financial year, bearing pressure from growth in Creative Cloud sales. Last year also saw the top regional positions shuffle around with president of Asia-Pacific Craig Tegel resigning in June, ANZ managing director Paul Robson then moving up into that role, and head of digital media Chris Skelton promoted to replace Robson as ANZ boss.
