Dubbed, Acronis Power Edition, the product combines Acronis True Image Echo product family, including Enterprise Server, Server for Windows and Workstation.
Bill Taylor-Mountford, GM of Acronis A/NZ, told CRN, that the Power Edition will provide benefits to SMBs (anywhere from 10-100 users) who do not have big IT budgets and give them greater flexibility to choose what they need.
“Acronis True Image Echo integrates seamlessly with all Windows- and Linux-based servers in both physical and virtual environments,” he said.
“The product also supports major virtualisation operating systems such as VMware, Microsoft, XenSource, SWsoft and Parallels.”
According to Taylor-Mountford, in addition, Acronis True Image for Microsoft Small Business Server and Acronis Recovery for Microsoft Exchange, will also also available with an SBS version designed to protect Exchange servers.
“We have noticed that in the past 12 months, SMBs are increasingly good value for money when it comes to products,” he said.
He said that what happened in the past was quite often resellers would sell Echo and not sell Universal Restore.
“By packaging it up, it helps resellers to offer their customers in this market more bang for their buck.”
Taylor-Mountford claimed that the product bundle will have a better price point for customers.
‘Our distributors and channel partners set their own margins, but this bundle will allow them to be very profitable,” he said.
