Acronis is introducing Acronis Archival Storage, a new S3-compatible cloud storage tier built specifically for long-term data retention, compliance and cost optimisation.
The offering, which is in partnership with Seagate, strengthens the Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud platform by giving MSPs an integrated solution that spans the entire data lifecycle from active protection on PCs and disaster recovery to long-term, compliant data archiving.
Acronis Archival Storage offers S3-compatible architecture that connects easily with existing workflows and third-party tools; 11×9 durability and 99.5% availability for long-term reliability and business continuity; and encryption at rest and in transit, combined with immutability (WORM) to ensure tamper-proof data protection.
It also provides "predictable, transparent pricing" with no egress or API fees, integrated billing and management through the Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud console, and millisecond retrieval for archived data, even after years in storage.
For MSPs, Acronis Archival Storage complements existing services like backup, disaster recovery, security and cloud storage, providing a unified way to protect and manage customer data throughout its life cycle.
Gaidar Magdanurov, president at Acronis, said with Acronis Archival Storage, MSPs can now provide their clients with long-term storage built for compliance readiness, cost predictability and ease of use.
"Native integration with Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud makes using archival storage effortless," he said.
“Our partnership with Acronis ensures archival data is protected and accessible for compliance, AI and more, with economic predictability and peace of mind - secured by Seagate Lyve Cloud," said Melyssa Banda, SVP of edge enterprise storage and services at Seagate.
