ACPL Systems appoints VP of engineering for ANZ

Furrukh Taj Awan has taken over as VP of engineering for ANZ for ACPL Systems.

His background spans managed security operations, core infrastructure engineering, enterprise firewalling, SSE architectures, Zero Trust frameworks and large-scale security solution design for complex environments.

He joins after a four and a half-year stint at Netskope, with his most recent role there being senior solutions engineer.

Prior to this, he also held roles at IBM Security, Juniper Networks and Forcepoint.

Awan is the second recent joiner from Netskope after Javier Alonso left the company to become ACPL's VP of sales for ANZ.

"His leadership will focus on advancing resilient, innovation-driven engineering practices that strengthen customers’ security posture across ANZ," the company said in a post on LinkedIn.

"With deep expertise across enterprise architecture, security operations and cloud-native transformation, the emphasis will remain on delivering technically rigorous, future-ready security solutions that enable customers to stay ahead of emerging threats."
