Accenture this week reported a 21 percent increase in revenues and a 31 percent jump in revenues for the third quarter.
The New York-based IT consulting company said revenues for the fiscal quarter ended 31 May were US$3.69 billion, compared with US$3.04 billion for the same period a year ago. Earnings were 37 cents a share, compared with 28 cents a share a year ago.
The company posted operating income for the quarter of US$573 million, or 15.5 percent of revenues, compared with US$404 million, or 13.3 percent, last year.
'We posted our highest quarterly net revenues ever, with growth in each of our five operating groups and double-digit growth in each of our three geographic areas, and we turned in significant growth in earnings per share,' Joe W. Forehand, chairman and chief executive for Accenture, said in a statement.
For the fourth quarter, Accenture expects revenues from US$3.4 billion to US$3.5 billion, and earnings per share from 26 US cents to 29 US cents a share.
