Accenture acquires Canberra consulting firm Apis Group

Accenture has acquired Canberra-based consultancy Apis Group to shore up its government and health business.

Apis Group provides strategic advisory services, project management, business and digital design services to federal government organisations. All 120 staff will be joining Accenture as part of the deal.

“The opportunity to become part of Accenture presents new potential and great possibilities for our business, our clients and our people,” Apis Group chairman and partner Anthony Honeyman said.

“We are particularly excited about the opportunity to leverage Accenture’s deep digital and analytics capabilities. By combining our skills, expertise and client relationships, we can enhance our offerings to government clients including deploying digital services that deliver enhanced experience to citizens in their dealings with government.”

Apis is Accenture’s third channel partner acquisition over the past year, after BCT Solutions in June, Analytics8 in August and PrimeQ in December 2018.

Accenture ANZ health and public service head Louise May said Apis’ experience in the public service sector complements Accenture’s own credentials in government.

“Apis Group’s talented team of professionals brings in-demand industry expertise and consulting skills that align with our offerings to government clients,” May said.

“This acquisition will bolster our position as partner of choice for government and health organisations, who will benefit from the deep specialist expertise of Apis combined with Accenture’s world-class digital transformation capabilities.”
