The agreement between Telstra Wholesale and AAPT extends an existing long-term commercial relationship initially forged in 1991 when AAPT offered competitive fixed line services to consumers.
It also included other products and services, including: Wholesale Line Rental, Local Carriage Service and PSTN Originating Terminating Access.
Paul Geason, managing director at Telstra Wholesale Group said he was very pleased to have reached a commercial resolution which was strongly desired by both.
"This agreement clearly demonstrates that Telstra Wholesale is eager and willing to work with its customers to achieve commercial results for all parties," he said.
"We have an ongoing commitment to serving AAPT and helping them to deliver quality services to their end-users all over Australia."
Paul Brand, CEO at AAPT said, Telstra and AAPT had developed a pragmatic commercial relationship over many years.
"We have reached an agreement which enables AAPT to continue offering competitively-priced, innovative products and services to our customers," he said.
