HP workstation marketing manager Mark Fenson said these new computers would be ideal for professionals, such as photographers, design artists and miners, who want the freedom to work on site.
The HP ZBook family includes the world’s first workstation Ultrabook—the HP ZBook 14—as well as the HP ZBook 15 and 17. •
The HP ZBook Mobile Workstations 14, 15 and 17 are available today starting at $2,445, $2,999 and $3,299, respectively.
HP Market development manager Craig Allen showcased HP's new Thin Client. He said: “There is new and growing demand in today’s market for quad-core processing and multimedia graphics on thin clients. With the HP t820, we’ve delivered a more advanced thin client solution to give companies the speed and performance required for their most demanding applications.”
The T820 is secure and economical. Craig Allen said HP has Thin Clients that consume as little as 7 watts of power alone, reaching just 14 watts if coupled with the right monitor. That's well below an everyday light bulb.
The T820 will be available in mid-November from $1,170.42
Commercial notebooks manager Anthony Ceroli showcased HP's lightweight EliteBook 800, tough ProBook 600 and price-conscious ProBook 400.
On the new commercial notebook range, Ceroli said: “IT decision makers today are faced with history’s most diverse and technically savvy workforce, and their demands for devices that reflect personal style and productivity preferences present a unique business challenge. HP is leading the transformation of the workplace with innovative business notebooks designed for style, but built for security and reliability.”
Topping the range is the HP EliteBook 800 series, which is up to 40 percent thinner and 28 percent lighter than previous generations. The 800 series is designed for frequent travelers with an option for up to 33 hours of battery life and MIL-STD 810G certification for business-rugged reliability.
The HP EliteBook 800 series will be available by mid-October starting at $1,999.
The Retail Jacket for HP's Windows tablet, the ElitePad, transforms it into a mobile POS station, David Choi of HP's retail solutions said.
The Retail Jacket features a 1D/2D barcode scanner for inventory management and a magnetic stripe reader for loyalty cards. The HP Retail Jacket is available now with a RRP of $949.
