1) Return of the Start button. Microsoft confused everyone when it ditched the Start button in Windows 8. In its place was the so-called “metro” interface, which works well on tablets and phones and even – at a stretch – on touch-screen PCs. But the public has struggled without a Start button, something Microsoft introduced 18 years ago with Windows 95. Odds on, Start will return.
