The Lenovo ThinkPad Twist is a 12.5in Windows 8 ultrabook that can be folded into a tablet. It comes with a rotating hinge that allows it to be twisted, turned, folded and flipped into a variety of different form factors. These range from 'stand' mode (suitable for business presentations) to 'tent' mode (for personal movie viewing).

The Lenovo ThinkPad Twist offers a choice of third-generation Intel Core processors, colloquially known as 'Ivy Bridge'. Other chief specifications include up to 8GB of DDR3 RAM, integrated Intel HD4000 graphics, 500GB HDD (7200RPM) and 128GB of SSD storage.
The Lenovo ThinkPad Twist comes with a 12.5in five-point multitouch screen with a native resolution of 1366x768 pixels.
Connectivity options include two USB 3.0 ports, Mini HDMI, a five-in-one memory card slot, earphone and microphone jacks, a Display port, Bluetooth V4.0 and inbuilt WiFi (802.11abg/n).
The ThinkPad Twist is truly monolithic in tablet mode: it makes every other tablet on the market look tiny by comparison.
Lenovo has put a lot of effort into the engineering of this device and it shows: the centre hinge is smooth and sturdily constructed, allowing the user to switch between form factors with a casual rotation of their wrist.
The Lenovo ThinkPad Twist measures 20mm at its thickest point and weighs in at 1.6kg. This is slightly bulkier than the average ultrabook, but it remains thin enough to throw into a briefcase and forget about.
In laptop mode, the ThinkPad Twist sports a conventional matte black finish that will fit into any workplace environment.
The ThinkPad Twist is available now with prices starting at $1049.
