What software do you provide?

We are one of the few companies that focus on all IBM software solutions across the key pillars of modern business: collaboration, analytics, cloud, security, storage and mobility. We also develop our own software that value-adds to IBM and this area continues to grow rapidly.

When did your company first get involved in this area?

ISW started in 1996 with a strong focus on IBM. While we've experimented in a number of broader areas, our core focus remains on adding value to the IBM range of enterprise solutions.

What are your credentials around software development and integration

We are somewhat unique in that we are certified across the broad IBM range and have recently pushed heavily not only into software-as-a-service but also infrastructure-, platform- and backup-as-a-service under a new brand of Cloud42.

Who are your main distributors?

Avnet. We also distribute our own software, which in the case of Kudos has a global network of around 27 partners.

Have you heard about any cool software trends recently?

The Kudos Suite was born three years ago and is taking the collaboration world by storm. As an value-add to IBM Connections, it is essentially helping organisations adopt the software faster and improving upon its features for increased productivity. It adds an element of fun and competitiveness to the workplace.

Can you tell us about a recent project?

"We recently deployed 35,000 licences of Kudos Boards for IBM Connections for the Dutch Tax Office and migrated Victoria's State Emergency Services infrastructure to the cloud on SoftLayer for scalability and redundancy. We also roll out enterprise collaboration, analytics and mobility solutions for many well-known brands. 

What is driving customers’ software projects?

The mobile workforce and remote or offsite working environment continues to drive the need for stronger collaboration tools. The need to find cost-savings and increase productivity are driving the move to cloud computing and analysing business data for intelligent decision-making.
