CRN was on site when Dimension Data and partner Canberra Data Centres opened a new facility in the nation's capital, with the Department of Human Services revealed as one of the first beneficiaries, hosted on Dimension Data's 14th Managed Cloud Platform.
When Dimension Data was named one of Cisco's top partners at the Cisco Live conference in Melbourne, CRN was there to cover the news. 3. Insight into Dimension Data's competitors
To help drive its growth in enterprise IT, JB Hi-Fi recently hired former Data#3 and Dimension Data sales manager Carlos Gouveia as general manager of professional services. Gouveia spent four and a half years as professional services manager at Data#3 before joining JB Hi-Fi. He was also professional services manager for Dimension Data for three years in South Africa.
Australian IT outsourcer Kinetic IT has been kicking goals, winning a $45 million Qantas deal, as well as pitching against Dimension Data, CSC, Datacom, Fujistu, HCL, NEC, IBM, Telstra and Hitachi competing for Victorian government work previously supplied by CenITex.
Dimension Data wasn't the only supplier to join up to Cisco's Intercloud initiaitive – so did telcos Telstra and Optus. Optus was also the first carrier in Australia to offer a contact centre-as-a-service using Cisco's hosted collaboration technology.
