DXC Technology, through its DXC Connect practice, delivers enterprise networks for a broad range of clients. We specialise in wireless, wired, data centre, campus, security and wide area network infrastructure from our key partners, which include Cisco, Aruba and Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise, amongst others.

DXC Connect has close partner relationships with market-leading vendors and distributors which include Cisco, Arrow, Ingram Micro and Dicker Data.

What is the most interesting new development in networking?

We have seen a shift in the networking paradigm from IT-centric to systems which deliver business outcomes. We are also seeing emerging API integrations enhance security, reliability and visibility. This evolution is enabling identity-based network segmentation, universal policy across on-premises and cloud environments.

Can you tell us about a deployment that you have done recently?

DXC Connect recently deployed three large software-defined networking solutions for federal and state governments, and an essential services client. These featured a variety of brown-field migration scenarios and advanced ACI features, such as multi-pod, network-centric and application-centric modes, and TrustSec integration with ISE.

What is driving customers’ networking projects?

Digital transformation and change are big drivers. While lifecycle might dictate the frequency of each iteration, it is the shift in requirements for security, automation, visibility, scale, reliability and flexibility, brought about by an evolving business landscape, which underpins network initiatives.
