Cloud accounting vendor Xero and storage provider Dropbox have partnered for the small business market.
The integration includes "a number of workflow enhancements, such as allowing Xero users to access and share Dropbox files from within Xero".
"Additionally, new features will be revealed throughout the year, as well as a special joint offer for small businesses customers that will help them simplify their accounting workflows," announced Xero.
Xero Australia managing director Chris Ridd said: "We have seen huge, global growth over the last four years in particular, and earlier this month announced that we now have 500,000 subscribers. Combining our efforts with Dropbox will support us in becoming a smarter and even-better connected platform for small businesses."
The Kiwi software-as-a-service company also announced it has recruited a new chief financial officer out of Virgin Australia.
Sankar Narayan will start at Xero in October after finishing up in the same role at Virgin. Acting CFO Ross Jenkins will then return to the chief operating officer role.
"We’ve known Sankar for many years and appreciated his advice during the early years of Xero," said Xero chief executive Rod Drury. "We are thrilled to have a global executive of his calibre help take us to the next level."
