Avaya has appointed former Cisco executive Mike Ansley as its Asia-Pacific president.
He replaces Michael Muller, who is pursuing other opportunities after two years in the top job, according to a statement. Avaya declined to comment further on Muller’s departure.
Ansley was most recently vice president of business markets for Cisco in Canada. He will now be responsible for leading Avaya’s business in South East Asia; Australia and New Zealand; and Japan and Korea.
Ansley joined Cisco in 1996 and has since held the roles of regional sales manager, director of advanced technology for EMEA and managing director of partner solutions and organisations.
He was also vice president and general manager EMEA for network infrastructure vendor 3Com before its acquisition by HP in 2010.
