NTT's Australian chief exits
Monte Davis

The CEO of NTT Communications ICT Solutions Australia Monte Davis will step down from the role on 1 January 2015, it was revealed today.

Davis will relocate to Europe for personal and family commitments, but will remain part of the management team as consulting director until May. He has been with NTT Communications since 2008, moving to Australia in 2012 as executive director before being appointed CEO of the new company NTT Communications ICT Solutions in 2013.

Current Enterprise Services general manager Tarquin Bellinger will step into the role of acting CEO and permanent chief operating officer on 1 January. Bellinger joined the company in 2009 when the company took over Harbour MSP.

NTT boasts a formidable presence in Australia, with 200 people and a lineup of vendor partnerships from Cisco to VMWare, NetApp, Oracle and HP.

The leadership reshuffle follows a period of significant change for NTT in Australia, which acquired Frontline Systems and Harbour MSP several years ago, subsequently becoming NTT Communications ICT Solutions last year.

NTT Australia, one part of the local conglomeration, reported revenue of $28.8 million in 2013, up from $23.2 million year before.

Davis said that NTT had “managed to bring together three very separate and different companies (NTT Australia, Frontline Systems and Harbour MSP) under one roof and have completed the first phase of this journey”.

The change at the top was described as a “new chapter” by Bellinger, who thanked Davis for his “considerable efforts” to get the company to where it is today.
