Dialog IT's $28m windfall from Human Services

Brisbane-based Dialog IT went live with nearly $30 million of contracts with the Department of Human Services in a bumper month.

The 1100-staff IT provider won 14 contracts totalling $28.2 million, all of which commenced on 1 July 2014.

A spokesperson for the department told CRN that contracts spanned "11 separate and ongoing procurement exercises" and "contribute to the delivery of multiple programs and projects".

"These contracts are for the supply of ICT services only and technology is not being deployed as a result of these contracts. This work uses a number of different technical disciplines across the many technologies the department uses," said the spokesperson.

Contractors will be based across Brisbane, Adelaide and Canberra.

Dialog IT is a major partner of multiple vendors, including Microsoft, IBM, Oracle, Google and Amazon Web Systems.

The contracts were awarded under the Department of Human Services' ICT Services and ICT Contractor Services panels.

Dialog IT's four business units – Dialog, Access Testing, digital agency Ice Media and business insight consultancy Catapult BI – posted revenues of $136.2 million for the year to 30 June 2014, a rise of $18.3 million or 15.5 percent on the year before. Consolidated net profit after tax was $9.2 million.
