Xero has revealed that Telstra will offer eligible business mobile customers a free six-month trial from September.
The vendor announced it is working with the carrier to "promote the benefits of cloud computing to their small and medium business customers".
Will Irving, Group Managing Director, Telstra Business, said: "Combining our focus on mobile and cloud solutions for the small business sector and working with innovative providers such as Xero means our customers will find it easier to make the most of cloud computing options."
Telstra is already a significant Xero partner, having made the product part of its T-Suite offering to over 700,000 small business customers back in 2009. Xero can be purchased via the Telstra small business site.
The number of Xero customers in Australia continues to grow. The vendor today announcing it has almost doubled paying customers locally, with 147,000 businesses paying to use Xero.
In April Xero announced $65 million in revenue from its product in the year to 31 March, an increase of 84 percent.
