Thieves managed to steal 51 iPhones from a JB Hi-Fi store in South Australia this month while the shop was still open and staff were present.
According to a statement by SA Police, the thieves distracted staff while others broke into a locked cupboard. The group of four men took 51 iPhones worth $45,000.
Police describe the men a shaving a Caucasian appearance with "slim builds" and several with an Irish accent. The theft happened at around 3pm on 12 January at the JB Hi-Fi store in Modbury, South Australia. Security camera images relating to the incident can be seen here.
Police believe this is an "organised group working nationally targeting electronic devices at large stores and shopping centres".
There were seven reported thefts at JB Hi-Fi stores in Victoria last year, including at Ballarat and Werribee.
